Dear Friends:
Greetings to all continuing and new Heartsong Friends.
It’s been too long since our last newsletter!! Welcome to all!
Contents:
1) In January 2010, we moved to the Central Coast of California. It’s a great spot to do business and ride the waves—seen here with my husband and our grandsons, Jack and Charlie. So I wrote a song appropriate to this new location: “Boogie Boardin’ Boogie”. It’s now available at my website as a free MP3.
New Commission: “Arroyo Grande…the Place to Be!”
I have been commissioned by the Arroyo Grande Centennial Committee to write the Celebration Song for the Centennial Celebration of Arroyo Grande. This is an exciting project and I am busy combining 100 years of its history into a singable song—no easy feat! It will have its World Premiere on April 30, 2011 at the dedication of Centennial Park here in Arroyo Grande, and will hopefully be featured at other events during the summer concert series in town.
“A Day at the Park” is now Published!
Jeanne Inc. has published the score for my second piece for Contrabassoon and Piano, “A Day at the Park”. This piece was commissioned by Susan Nigro, contrabassoon recitalist par excellence. You can read more about this piece in Issue 12 of the Heartsong Newsletter!
Do You Need a Mother’s Day Gift?
Mother’s Day is coming….May 8…less than 2 months away!
In honor of mother, you might consider giving her my relaxing and meditative CD, Refreshing Rain. It consists of 15 original instrumental pieces which I composed and recorded, and it is guaranteed to provide a quiet calming for anyone who is seeking quietness in the midst of life’s chaos. To listen to excerpts and to purchase, you can access my web site or go directly to CD Baby or the iTunes Music Store.
A BIG THANK YOU to those who have already purchased one! Buy another one for a friend!
Still Seeking
Now that Heartsong Music is back in business, I am always open to new commissions!
Heartsong Music’s goal is to mark special occasions with personalized special music. If you have a special occasion coming up or someone you know has a special occasion and you want to give them a unique and thoughtful gift, let me know…..births (lullabies are my favorite), weddings, special birthdays, anniversaries, retirement, the good life—a special song is a great way to mark the occasion.
May the winter storms be ending in your area,
and may a glorious spring be just around the corner!!!
Thanks for reading!
Peace and Love,
Ann Marie
